My Blessings

I am free to be me!!

One of my favorite songs is Free to be Me by Francesca Battistelli.  It is a song that talks about me being free in Christ to be whom he created me to be.  Not how he created anyone else on the earth.  He takes joy in all my strange quirks and wierd ways that I am. He knows that he can turn my quirks into a great witness for him.  He can use me to touch someone in a way that no other person will be able to. I read a poem entitled My Identity in Christ.  It says so much about us as a person and exactly how the King of Kings feels about who he made.  I hope you enjoying reading it.  Remember be Free in Christ Jesus!!
My Identity in Christ
Because of Christ's redemption, I am a new creation of great worth.
I am deeply loved, completely forgiven, fully pleasing, totally accepted by God,
and absoluetly complete in Christ. There has never been another person like me,
in the history of mankind, nor will there ever be.  God has made me an original, one of a kind,
really SOMEBODY!!!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you can say that it is a "Happy" New Year even though last year might have been hard for you.  Don't forget that my God is good and he has great blessings in store for you this year.  I am sooooo excited about 2011!  I don't really know why, other than the fact that I serve a great God and he only has the best in store for me.  Wow! That takes my breath away. Even if no one else would have been born on the Earth but you Christ still would have made the ultimate sacrifice for just you.
Let's remember in this coming year to encourage our sista's.  Sometimes we get caught up in our everyday lives and forget that if we just speak one word of encouragement to someone it could totally change their day.  Remember what God says in his word
1 Thessalonians 5:11
“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” (NLT)

What's in your mouth?????

From the same mouth come blessings and cursing. My brethren these things ought not be that way. James 3:10

What comes out of our mouth? Do we praise God and turn right around and tear someone down or speak negatively? God says it shouldn't be that way.  When I read this verse God really spoke to me about this.  One of our jobs as a Christian is to encourage people and help lift them up.  How often do we do that in a days time? Once, twice, or maybe three times if I am in a good mood? We need to make it our goal to encourage someone each day.  There are so many hurting people around us.  We don't have to go outside of our normal routine to see someone that could use an encouraging word.  The devil is on attack! Friends are hurting, families are splitting and neighbors are in need.  Let's live outside the label this world has placed on Christians. Let's not just go to church and play the part! Let's be a person who follows the Holy Sprirts leading everyday of our lives. Let's change what the devil has done to our churches and families.  Let's ENCOURAGE someone today.

So what comes from your mouth? Is it something u need to change? If so pray about it and let God help you tame your tongue this week.

Dear God,
Help me to tame my tongue.  We get so caught up in our world and the way our society works and views things. Help us to take our lives and the words we speak back to what your book says and use that as our standard for living. Help me to encourage someone today.  Thank you for your saving Grace.  Thank you for sending your precious perfect Son for my sins.  I ask you to forgive me where I have use my mouth for lifting you. In Jesus Name. Amen

Victory in Prayer

Wow! God has really been at work all around me this week.  He has answered so many prayers! If anyone doesn't believe that there is power in prayer then I feel for ya!

We have been in a old fashonioned tent revival this week in our church and let me tell you this aint your typical revival.  We have been seeing lives changed and souls saved.  When we come humbly before God and bring our requests boldly before his throne he answers.  Now grant it, the answer is does not always come like we planned for it to come but netherless it comes. For that we should shout!!!

It says in Mark 11:22-26 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

I challenge you to completely put your faith in him and let him move in your life.   Sometimes we have to step out of the way and let him do his job.
